How We Review Platforms

This page explains exactly how SkillSniff scores the platforms we cover. Reviews that don't show their work aren't reviews — they're vibes. Here are ours.

What we score

Platforms are scored out of five stars across six criteria. The weights:

  • Game library and providers (25%). Number of titles, range across genres, mix of providers, quality of marquee games. The reason most players choose a platform.
  • Mobile and desktop experience (20%). App stability, load times, UI clarity, gameplay performance, what's missing on mobile versus desktop.
  • Daily and ongoing promotions (15%). Login bonuses, tournament rhythm, mail-in offers, the things that bring you back day to day.
  • Redemption practice (15%). What actually happens when a real account redeems. Speed, friction, outcome.
  • Terms and operator credibility (15%). Who runs the platform. Whether terms are findable and honest. Whether scoring against terms-of-service matches scoring against actual behavior.
  • Customer support and responsible-gaming tools (10%). Support quality across channels, depth of self-exclusion and limit tools.

How we test

  • Real account, completed identity verification.
  • At least one Gold Coin purchase to run the payment flow.
  • Play across the library — at minimum one title from every major provider stocked, with weighted focus on the platform's signature games.
  • Daily and ongoing promotions claimed across 14 consecutive days.
  • At least one tournament or social feature exercised if offered.
  • At least one redemption run end-to-end where possible.
  • A direct customer-support test.
  • A read of the platform's terms against our transparency rubric.

What disqualifies a platform

  • Refusal to honor a legitimately-earned redemption.
  • Material misrepresentation of terms, prize structure, or state availability.
  • Operation in a state where the operator's own terms exclude that state.
  • Unresolved regulatory action.
  • No meaningful responsible-gaming controls.

When scores change

Reviewed every 90 days at minimum. Reviewed immediately when ownership changes, terms materially change, state availability shifts, the game library gains or loses something meaningful, or our testing turns up something that contradicts our prior score. The "Last updated" date on every review tells you when the current score was set.

Things we won't do

  • Score a platform higher because it pays better.
  • Run sponsored reviews.
  • Change a score at an operator's request.
  • Remove a finding to keep a partnership.
  • Cover a platform we can't write honestly about.

A note on healthy play

Social casinos are entertainment, not income. If play stops being fun — if you're spending more than you meant to, chasing losses, hiding play, or feeling bad about it — stop and talk to someone. The National Council on Problem Gambling runs a 24/7 helpline.
